Spent regenerant regeneration solution is the solution obtained after flowing through saturated ion exchange resin.

Selection of eluent: the eluent can be water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, acid-base solution of different concentrations, etc.

According to the strength of adsorption, different eluents or the same solvent with different concentrations can be selected to roughly separate various components. The general methods are as follows: ① wash with an appropriate amount of water to wash the polar substances such as monosaccharide, tannin, oligosaccharide and polysaccharide, and identify them by TLC to prevent the highly polar saponins from being washed; ② 7O% ethanol washing, the eluent is mainly saponins, but also contains phenolic substances, sugars and a small amount of flavonoids. The experiment shows that 30% ethanol will not wash a large amount of flavonoids; ③ 3% ~ 5% alkaline solution can wash flavonoids, organic acids, phenolic substances and amino acids; ④ 10% acid solution can wash alkaloids and amino acids; ⑤ Neutral lipophilic components can be washed with acetone.
