Specifications of Interstage Screen / Intertank Screen

Material: 304, 316, 316L, 321, 904L, 2205, 2507, C276…
Welding mode: Circular resistance welding and circular fusion welding(the most advanced welding technology at present).
Slot (gap) size: 250 microns – 1200 microns (or as your need).
Opening rate: 35% or as your need.(opening rate = slot size / slot size + width of the profile wire)
Application:Interstage screen is used during the concentration stage, recovery of precious metals in gold and silver mining. MPS & MPS(P).

Interstage Screen In CIP and CIL Process

CIP – Carbon In Pulp. First leaching, and then adsorption.
It is suitable for the treatment of oxidized gold ore with low sulfur content and mud content.
The gold cyanide complex is adsorbed onto the carbon until it comes to an equilibrium with the gold in solution, the coarse carbon is then separated from the slurry by a V wire interstage screen.
Application: Flotation of gold concentrate or mixed mercury, gravity tailings, argillaceous oxidized ore.

CIL – Carbon In Leaching. leaching and absorption are simultaneous.
Each absorption tank is provided with a carbon wedge wire wrapped interstage screen to separate carbon and slurry.
After screening and washing, the gold loaded activated carbon will be sent to the desorption operation.

The carbon isolation screen shall be installed at the outlet of each absorption tank, and the screen generally adopts a 304 Johnson screen mesh.

304 stainless steel VS 430 stainless steel (for interstage screen & intertank screen)

    Corrosion resistance.
    430 stainless steel contains 16.00-18.00% chromium and is basically free of nickel metal.
    304 stainless steel containing chromium-nickel.
    Therefore, 430 stainless steel is not as good as 304 stainless steel.

  2. Stable performance.
    430 stainless steel is ferritic, 304 stainless steel is austenite, 304 stainless steel is more stable than 430 stainless steel.
  3. Toughness
    304 stainless steel has strong toughness, which is stronger than 430 stainless steel.
  4. Mechanical behavior.
    430 stainless steel adds stable chemical element titanium, the mechanical properties of the weld are better than 304 stainless steel.

    Comprehensive comparison, 304 stainless steel is more suitable as a raw material for the interstage screen.
    The performance of 316 and 316L stainless steel is better than 304 stainless steel, but the cost is higher, and customers can choose suitable raw materials according to specific conditions.
