A cation resin exchanger is an indispensable piece of equipment in water treatment. In the process of water treatment, when the strength of the resin is insufficient, the water pressure disturbance is large, or the resin cylinder wall is damaged, the resin will enter the entire water system. It will affect the normal operation of other equipment, so it is necessary to install a resin capture device.
A wedge wire screen filter with a much smaller size than cationic resin is often installed in the resin capture device. When the resin passes through, it can be intercepted and captured by the filter screen. At the same time, the captured resin will be discharged out of the system by automatic flushing through the front and rear differential pressure.
The current filter screen mainly uses single or multi-layer nylon mesh as a resin capture unit.

The effluent from the cation resin exchanger enters the resin trap and forms a swirl. It can make the resin capture device not easy to block, without backwashing. It can realize the continuous operation of the cation resin exchanger.
- The swirling flow in the cylinder can quickly separate the resin and water. The contact between resin and filter cartridge is greatly reduced, and the blockage of the filter cartridge is avoided.
- The swirling flow continuously washes the outer wall of the filter cartridge, and can also play a role in cleaning the filter cartridge. The possibility of clogging the filter cartridge is further reduced, and it is unnecessary to backwash it. At the same time, the frequency of replacing the filter cartridge is greatly reduced, and the continuous operation of the cation resin exchanger can be realized.
- The outer wall of the filter cartridge is provided with a spiral convex part. A filter hole is arranged at the lower side of the convex part, and some resin can fall along the upper side of the spiral convex part after hitting the outer wall of the filter cartridge. The water flows out from the filter hole under the spiral convex part. Under the blocking effect of the spiral convex part, the filter hole can be kept unblocked to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
- Under the action of swirling flow, the fine broken resin is concentrated in the center of the shell and discharged from the resin discharge port at the bottom of the collecting hopper. The relatively complete resin flows back to the cation resin exchanger. The broken resin can be separated from the complete resin.
