The mixed bed adopts a fixed bed exchange process, it is composed of an upper water inlet device, a middle drainage device, a lower porous plate, a water retaining plate, a filter cloth layer, a valve system, and a compressed air inlet device.
In the mixed ion exchanger, the anion and cation exchange resins are mixed and filled in the same exchange vessel according to a certain proportion, so that the anion and cation exchange reactions can be carried out at the same time, so the desalting rate of the effluent water is very high.
The mixed ion exchanger is generally installed after the anion and cation exchanger, or after the electrodialysis and reverse osmosis devices to form a treatment system for preparing pure water.
Technical parameters: filtering speed, working pressure, working temperature, product specification, operation mode, regeneration concentration, and material requirements.
Since the exchange capacity of the ion exchange resin in the mixed bed is saturated, regeneration treatment is required, the anion and cation shall be layered in the container for acid and alkali regeneration. After regeneration, the cation resin and anion resin shall be completely separated by compressed gas, and then the anion resin and cation resin shall be regenerated, cleaned, recovered with exchange capacity, and mixed evenly before they are put into operation.
It can be used with anion and cation exchangers, electrodialysis, and reverse osmosis desalination equipment to produce high-purity water.
The effluent quality of the mixed bed can produce the finished water with high purity, however, the regeneration process of the mixed ion exchanger is more complicated than that of the anion and cation exchange columns, and the regeneration efficiency is low, after regeneration, the working exchange capacity of the resin is also low, and the regeneration cost is higher than that of cation bed or anion bed.
Therefore, the mixed bed is suitable for the situation with low salt content in the inlet water (such as deep desalination after one-stage double bed desalination or fine treatment of a high-purity water system), in this way, the service life can be prolonged, and the water yield can be increased, the regeneration times can be reduced, and the advantages of the mixed ion exchanger water quality can be brought into full play.
All H + produced by H-type exchange and oh – produced by OH – type exchange can not be accumulated, basically eliminating the impact of anti-ion, the exchange reaction is very thorough, with the advantages of high quality of effluent, stable quality of effluent, and little impact of the intermittent operation on water quality.
When the alkalinity and silicic acid content of the influent water are low, this series of anion-mixed bed exchangers can also be directly selected for desalting treatment.
It is proposed to use 30% NaOH and 30% HCl for the regeneration agent of the mixed separator, as the mixed ion exchanger needs a long time to regenerate, there is no special acid and alkali storage tank, and the acid and alkali metering tank directly regenerates through the ejector.
The regeneration is controlled by the concentration of regenerant, regeneration time, and regeneration liquid flow. The acid and alkali metering tanks and absorbers are set with enough storage capacity as specified in the regulations.
The pure water treatment for the mixed ion exchanger uses the anion and cation exchange resin together, which reacts alternately many times in the water treatment process. The water quality purification effect is good, the turbidity of the water is effectively reduced, and the technical support for the users to provide high-quality production water is provided.
