In the past, in the process of sugarcane crushing and sugar making, the mixed juice of sugarcane contains a lot of crushed bagasse and sugarcane juice。
In the early 1990’s, sugar companies mostly used wedge wire screen panels or sieve bend screen to filter directly, remove the crushed bagasse, separate the sugarcane juice and send it for further filtration, clarification, concentration, boiling sugar and crystallization to obtain the final product, white sugar.
Filtering sugarcane juice directly with a wedge wire screen panel, sugar mill screen or sieve bend screen is a process of static screen filtration.
Once the crushed bagasse is filled into the wedge wire screen, it will not be removed or removed by itself. If it is not removed manually, it will stay on the screen permanently for a long time.
Most or all of the crushed bagasse will be filled into the screen, which will affect the filtering quality of the mixed juice of sugarcane, and also directly affect the sugar production efficiency of the enterprise and the crushing capacity of sugarcane.
After 1996, the appearance of Wedge Rotary Wire Screen was directly applied to the filtration of the mixed juice of pressed sugarcane, and the effect was very good.

The principle of the drum screen not easily blocked:
The rotary drum screen cylinder rotates continuously, so the bagasse is not easy to be packed on the screen.
The rolling screen is installed at an angle of axial inclination, after the rolling of the screen cylinder, the juice and crushed bagasse are separated in time.
When the crushed bagasse rolls in the screen cylinder, it will automatically discharge along the lower end of the screen cylinder, and also drag the crushed bagasse to be filled, so it is not necessary to discharge the bagasse manually, so the rolling screen cylinder is not easy to plug the bagasse.
However, the drum screen drum is supported by the supporting wheels at both ends to participate in the rotation. Because the drum screen and its accessories have a certain weight and only rely on one end to transmit power, it is difficult to achieve synchronous start when the screen drum is rolling.
The main drive end starts and the other end always lags by an angle. In normal operation, there is also a difference in torsional angle between the main drive end and the other end.
In the long-term, the sieve bars of the sieve drum will be damaged and twisted successively, and slag leakage will occur in the sieve drum. As a result, the sugar cane bagasse of the sugarcane mixed juice and the sugarcane juice are not cleanly separated, which affects the quality of sugar production and the amount of sugar cane pressed.
In view of this disadvantage, we have designed a wedge wire rotary drum screen that can alleviate this situation through a lot of research and development experiments.
